Cateran Trail Ultra 16th May 2009 "A 55 Mile race around a historic Scottish trail.  Up until the 17th century, this part of Scotland was wild & hostile, cattle rustling was commonplace. The Caterans (cattle rustlers) would descend from their rough bothies high in the mountains to prey on the farmers in the glens below, driving the stolen cattle through the remote glens using drove trails on their way to market.

Now you can relive this history by taking on the CATERAN TRAIL ULTRAMARATHON. Follow in the footsteps of the Caterans and cover 55 miles with 7500ft of ascent. The challenge is to complete this in 18 hours."
